Personal development and self-knowledge is essential for teachers involved in educational institutions both private and government. In this research article, an attempt was made to find out how teachers can develop themselves in both the private and government sectors. For this, I adopt an interview based study as a research design. Here, I select five participants from both private and government schools. I asked questionnaire that was prepared for them regarding the personal development of teachers in educational institutions in private and government schools. I use my mobile phone to record their interview and a few points are noted down in my copy and various other sources like books, magazines, articles, papers etc. for data collection. After collecting the data I conclude that in the private sector teachers can develop more than in the government sector because of competition in the teaching field and better support provided to private school teachers like conducting workshops, exhibitions, mentoring programs, training programs, relationships with another school, coursework, motivation etc.
